Rustam Minnikhanov hands in keys to new cars to the winners of the regional review competition among municipalities

On August 29, at the site of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, at the ceremony timed to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in keys to the new cars to the winners of the regional review competition among municipalities.

The regional competition among the municipalities of Tatarstan has been held since 2010. This year, all municipal regions and 2 urban districts took part in the competition. On behalf of Tatarstan President, the winners of the competition, namely municipalities are awarded Lada Granta cars, municipal institutions of city districts are awarded Ford Transit buses and diplomas of the Council of Municipalities of Tatarstan.

“On the eve of the Republic Day there is a good tradition to sum up the results of the competition among municipalities and award the winners. The work on support of rural settlements will continue,” Minnikhanov said.

Addressing representatives of municipalities, Tatarstan President said: “Due to the well-coordinated work at the level of settlements, districts, cities and the republic, we achieve a good level and increase in the quality of life of our citizens,” he said.

He emphasized that the quality of life of Tatarstan residents is the main task of the authorities today.
