Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the progress of grain harvesting and visits a number of social facilities in Vysokogorsky region

On August 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Deputy Prime Minister of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov got acquainted with the course of harvesting campaign in the Vysokogorsky municipal region of the republic and looked around its fields, where 57 combine harvesters are involved in grain harvesting, with the average grain yield 31 centners per hectare.

The head of the Executive Committee of Vysokogorsky region Ravil Khisamutdinov reported that 47 per cent of the planned area have been threshed.

On the fields of Biryuli Company, they also had a meeting with mechanizers involved in harvesting campaign, as well as heads of rural settlements, heads of farms and regional investors.

Minnikhanov was informed that there are 13.4 thousand head of cattle in the Vysokogorsky region, and there is a slight decrease in the number of livestock compared to last year.

Tatarstan President noted that today it is important to pay special attention to the forage conservation, as well as create feed centres.

Speaking in general about the development of the Vysokogorsky region and its proximity to the capital of the republic, Minnikhanov emphasized that it is necessary to think about creating new industries, industrial parks with new jobs for local residents do not have to travel to work in the city every day.

Zyabbarov informed that the harvesting campaign is underway. To date, 2.5 million tonnes have been threshed in the republic.

During his working visit to the region, Minnikhanov handed over the keys to new tractors to the heads of rural settlements - winners of the regional contest.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov visited the Palace of Culture in the village of the Biryulinsky fur farm in the Vysokogorsky region, which was renovated under the regional programme "Repair of cultural facilities." There is a branch of the Vysokogorskiy Children's School of Arts named after Saydashev, library, department of youth sports school (gym) and pharmacy in the Palace of Culture.

Tatarstan President also got acquainted with concepts of development of certain areas of the region, in particular, the project of the museum «Iske Kazan» and children’s sports and recreation camp “Dubyazy”.
