A new park for children to appear in Kazan

On August 16, at the Victory Park, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a retreat with participation of Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Utilities Marat Ayzatullin, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova and other officials on the construction of the children's park with the total area of 13 hectares, which is twice as much as Kyrlay entertainment centre. A significant part of the territory will be for family recreation as the park with walking areas near the water.

Minnikhanov instructed the city administration to conduct all necessary geodetic research of the territory. He also focused on the importance of organizing public discussions in the Kazan City Duma with the involvement of experts and specialists, and carry out all further work taking into account the decisions made at the discussion.

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President looked around the territory near the Kazan Family Centre (Chascha) and gave a number of instructions to improve the area in order to make it more comfortable for citizens and guests of the capital. It is planned to renew the lawn, to install benches, to build a stage for the city holidays. The bank will be raised and leveled from the dam to the Centre in order to strengthen this area for people to relax. And most importantly, due to this, a direct exit along the Leninskaya dam to the Kazan Kremlin will be organized. The route today is very popular with both residents and tourists, but not landscaped.

Tatarstan President instructed to make a road surface that would allow both pedestrians and cyclists to move freely along the water.
