Rustam Minnikhanov: Taking into consideration the growth of Covid-19 incidence it is recommended to introduce wearing masks at work teams and organizations of all kinds of ownership

On 13 August, speaking at a videoconference with all municipalities of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said it is necessary to step up work in prevention and stopping spreading of the new Corona virus as last week the incidence rate increased by 32 per cent in the republic.

He said that it is necessary to speed up work in revaccination and “we should not wait until the epidemiological situation becomes worse. It is very important to develop herd immunity in advance”.

“Every sick person is a problem in work teams and in family, so we need vaccination and following all sanitary requirements”, Rustam Minnikhanov said and added that the herd immunity in the region was very low.

He gave an example of China as “it is the most disciplined country as far as following all sanitary requirements and work with population is concerned”.
