On June 7 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Badminton World Federation Paul-Erik Hoyer and President of Russian Badminton Federation Sergei Shakhrai discussed current state of this kind of sport in Tatarstan in Russia and prospects of its development. In particular, they spoke about construction of Badminton Centre in Kazan.

Minister of Construction, Architecture and Municipal Economy Irek Faizullin, Chairman of Supervision Board of Tatarstan Badminton Federation, Chairman of Accounts Chamber Aleksei Demidov took part in the meeting.

Paul-Erik Hoyer and Sergei Shakhrai are visiting Kazan within the framework of the World Summer Universiade. Badminton competitions will be held until July 11.
