Application Commissions for Naberezhnyye Chelny, Zelenodolsk and Chistopol Priority Social and Economic Development Areas have approved five new productions

On 10 August, opening a meeting of commissions reviewing applications to work at Naberezhnyye Chelny, Zelenodolsk and Chistopol Priority Social and Economic Development Areas (PSEDA)  held in the Government house of the republic with participation of the regional Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin reminded that when summarizing outcomes of PSEDA work in the last ten years special attention was paid to the fulfillment of liabilities undertaken by these territories.  

He informed that during the stated period 121 companies became residents of PSEDAs in Tatarstan, investing 47.5bn roubles into new productions (including 38.5bn of capital investments) and creating 20 600 new jobs.

Currently 76 companies have already launched production, 35 companies are at different stages of projects implementation and 10 have stopped their projects, the Prime Minister said.

“For successful operation of the projects it is necessary to timely respond to the problems arising during the residents’ investments projects implementation and the branch ministries together with the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan should take measures to provide additional support to such companies,” Pesoshin said.

He added that it is important to step up work in attracting new residents and focus not only on new industrial parks but also on production facilities located in the city as the whole area of the mono-city is PSEDA.

Tatarstan Prime Minister reminded that on 20 July of the current year the Russian Government passed a decree prolonging the time of work of PSEDA for two years, including those in the republic.

Having reviewed five applications for operation at Naberezhnyye Chelny, Zelenodolsk and Chistopol Priority Social and Economic Development Areas, the commissions approved all of them.

Thus a project of establishment a production of modular buildings from light metallic constructions with 24.5m roubles of capital investments and 98 jobs to be created, and the project of establishment of production of aluminum light posts, lighting sets and LED lamps with the total amount of investments of 27.4 m roubles have been approved for Naberezhnyye Chelny.

The third project approved for Naberezhnyye Chelny was the establishment of a plant to manufacture case pipes for oil and gas industry of Russia.

A project of manufacture of ready-made construction units from concrete, cement and artificial stone was approved for Chistopol and amendments to the project of manufacture of SMC plastic electrical cabinets and 0.4 kW distributing gear, namely increasing the investments up to 57 m roubles and the number of jobs up to 70, was approved for Zelenodolsk.
