Rustam Minnikhanov meets Renat Akchurin

On 2 August at a meeting with one of the leading cardio surgeons Renat Akchurin at the International Exhibition Center Kazan Expo Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed development of a scientific basis in medicine, especially cardiology, and implementation of new technologies in medical institutions of the republic.

Renat Akchurin is a Soviet and Russian cardio surgeon and a specialist in microsurgery, who was the first in Europe to use operational microscope and microsurgery technique in coronary surgery and who founded a domestic school of coronary microsurgery. He came to Kazan together with his brother Colonel-General Rasim Akchurin to take part in the VIII convention of the World Congress of Tatars.
