Tatarstan President: It is important to maintain stable collective immunity to Coronavirus infection

On 30 July, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government house of the republic , Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov  said it is important to maintain stable collective immunity to Coronavirus infection in the republic which is especially important on the background of the growth of incidence by 8 per cent.

At the same time the rate of collective immunity is gradually decreasing, he said and stated: “We should keep a stable collective immunity in the republic and I ask you to ramp up revaccination as there is no room for complacency. COVID is still here. We can see that abroad and in our country and the republic the number of sick is growing”.

Having reminded about the main preventive measures, Minnikhanov said: “Medical institutions have already returned to wearing masks. We should also come to some conclusion. Of course, it will not be convenient in summer but if the situation keeps developing this way such measures will be necessary”.

Tatarstan President appealed for residents of the republic to strictly follow all CORONA preventive measures especially those who are in the risk zone, namely the elderly and people with chronicle diseases.
