Tatarstan President: It is necessary to focus all efforts on qualitative harvest

On 30 July, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government house of the republic , Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that agricultural workers  should mobilize all their efforts and resources on qualitative harvest.

He informed that in a number of regions of the republic farmers have already begun threshing and this year the area of the grain crops is 1.5m and of oil crops – 427 thousand hectares. 

“The yield in the fields is quite nice and of course today all efforts should be focused on its qualitative harvest. As many as 3 417 agricultural machines will be used by agricultural enterprises of the republic. In the last three years 20 per cent of machinery was replaced and in the current year we have got 104 vehicles. On the top of that we should utilize machines from third parties as the plan is to use 250 machines”, Minnikhanov said.

To do work in the maximum short time and to prevent losses, Tatarstan President gave an errand to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and heads of the regions and agribusiness to provide decent wages to farmers and develop additional incentives to top agricultural workers. 

“There should be serious motivation and people should earn money. Due to this we will get better yield. Combine operator’s job is very hard and it is necessary to organize their two shift work and provide them with timely hot meals”, Tatarstan President added.
