Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: “about strategic objects the construction of which is planned to be started next year”.

Head of Tatarstan Government informed today at the session in RT Cabinet that in 2009 Tatarstan plans to construct a number of important strategic objects. The part of means will be allocated from additional income.

The session was devoted to forecasting of social and economic development of Tatarstan for 2009 till 2011 and Tatarstan budget for 2009. All municipal districts took part in videoconference session.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed that next year it’s planned to start the construction of medical center in Naberezhnye Chelny and emergency hospital (BSMP) in Kazan and National Library on terms of private-state partnership and support of municipal power and “Ak Bars” Bank.

As for the construction of Children Puppet Theatre, the volume of means has been already counted.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that all parties have to come to an agreement about strategically important objects.

Also in 2009 the part of means from additional income will be allocated for construction of objects for Universiade-2013 (sport buildings, establishments, infrastructure).

“Moreover, we reviewed the budget for construction of Kazan underground”, - Tatarstan Prime Minister pointed out. The sum was changed from 500 million RUR to 2 billion RUR (in 2009). Rustam Minnikhanov considers that one station (“Prospekt Pobedy”) should be finished till the end of 2008.

In 2009 1,5 billion RUR will be allocated for development of agricultural and industrial complex, in particular, for purchasing of modern import combines (about 1 billion RUR). Rustam Minnikhanov told that unfortunately domestic combines leave much to be desired. Though import combines will be more expensive, it allows saving time in harvesting process.

Head of Tatarstan Government emphasized that transition to branch labour payment (since January, 1, 2009) will also entail serious finance contributions next year.
