Rustam Minnikhanov meets participants of the III International Oil and Gas Youth Forum

On 12 July at his meeting with participants of the III International Oil and Gas Youth Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov answered a number of their questions.

 Thus he said that to become a good manager you need to have good teachers and he learned a lot, working with the First President Mintimer Shaimiev.

Minnikhanov added that to be a successful manager it is very important to organize a team counting on young specialists. “It is necessary to give them a certain educational programme and then in 2-3 years you will have a good worker”, he said. 

Answering a question from participants of the forum about cooperation of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, the President of the republic said: “Uzbekistan is our strategic partner. We actively develop our trade and economic and humanitarian relations. Such our companies as Tatneft Oil Company, KAMAZ Automaker and a number of others are well present in Uzbekistan. Many Tatars are living in this wonderful country and we hope our relations will continue strengthening”. 

Answering a question about biotechnologies in oil production and cutting down the CO2 emission, Director General of the Tatneft Nail Maganov said: “We already have a working project in biotechnologies and we are planning to deploy it at one of our gas processing plants where methane will be transformed into vitamins and proteins”. 

The key topic of the International forum which gathered 250 participants from leading universities of Russia and foreign countries was biotechnologies and the resulting best proposals of the teams will get financial and mentor support.
