Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitriy Patrushev have got acquainted with the agribusiness advance achievements at the AgroVolga-2022 exposition

On 8 July Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitriy Patrushev and the Governor of Bryansk region Aleksandr Bogomaz got acquainted with the agribusiness advance achievements at the AgroVolga-2022 exposition organized at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.

It is the second AgroVolga exposition, exhibiting achievements of agribusiness science, modern machinery and equipment for horticulture, cattle breeding and processing as well as mineral fertilizers and plant protection means, and this year it has more than 12 thousand participants from 65 regions of Russia and 15 other countries.

Welcoming participants and guests of the exposition, Dmitriy Patrushev said that the Volga federal district and Tatarstan traditionally occupy strong positions in many spheres of the branch, in particular in raw and processed milk production and vegetable oil manufacture.

The Minister underlined that the agribusiness is starting the harvesting campaign and wished the agricultural workers good weather and high yields, adding that in its turn the Russian Ministry will continue providing comprehensive support to the branch. 

Tatarstan President said that the Agrovolga is very popular with agribusiness specialists and facilitates development of interaction of rural residents, scientists and producers. “We have many guests who have exhibited their produce. They consider us to be promising partners and we are deeply grateful to all participants of the exposition,” he said.

He underlined large comprehensive support from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and said: “We take part in all programmes and are very grateful to all structural units of the Ministry – banking, leasing system and a number of other units. Our joint work helps us to achieve new successes in agriculture”.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitriy Patrushev handed in a number of regional and ministry awards.  

In his turn the Governor of Bryansk region Aleksandr Bogomaz said: “I would like to congratulate Tatarstan residents with their achievements. The republic rightly ranks among top ten agricultural producers in our country and goes ahead to new feats”.

Later the same day on the sidelines of the exposition, at his working meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, Dmitriy Patrushev said that Tatarstan traditionally is one of the largest receivers of the state support and last year the drawdown rate made 99.8%. In the current year about 4bn roubles have been allocated on support of the agriculture, he said. 

Patrushev continued, saying that fertilizers and irrigation engineering facilitate development the yield growth and as Tatarstan has more than 97 per cent of irrigated land it will get 360m roubles of subsidies for 36 melioration projects in 2022.

He also mentioned that cattle breeding is also developing actively and by results of the last year the republic became the leader in milk production of the country having produced nearly 2m tonnes. There is also a positive dynamics in cattle and poultry breeding, the Russian Minister concluded.
