The head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food has reported about forage conservation and getting the agricultural machinery ready for the harvest campaign

Speaking at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with all municipalities of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov has reported about forage conservation and getting the agricultural machinery ready for the harvest campaign.

In particular, the Minister said that 273 600 hectares of perennial grass has been sown by 1 July which makes 6.9 centners per capita of cattle on average. “We have set forth a task to conserve 40 centers per capita this year”, he added.

According to the forecast, it is planned to start threshing yield of winter crops from 20 July and from 11 to 15 July the commission will approve the readiness of the harvesting complex and readiness of the machinery for plowing winter tillage, Zyabbarov said.
