On 1 July, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the establishment of advanced engineering schools (AES) at universities of the republic needs carrying out large amount of work for reaching the set goals.
Tatarstan took part in the competition of the federal project of the advanced engineering schools and became one of 30 winners with the plan to establish three schools in the republic.
“We are very grateful to the Russian Government, the Minister and the commission. We have three winners – the University of Innopolis, Kazan Federal University and the Kazan Chemical Technological University, which have done a large amount of work. But this is only the first step. The country is expecting real practical results from us and that is a more difficult task”, Minnikhanov said.
He stressed that by doing this work it is very important to develop educational programs in demand together with partner-enterprises, to establish high quality Faculty and students and to provide the launch of these programs starting from the 1 September of the current year.
