Farid Mukhametshin meets with journalists

“The first six months of 2013 were eventful for the parliament,” said the Parliament Speaker at the press conference. “We are open and transparent as usual for the Tatarstan people.” According to Farid Mukhametshin, deputy corps is active both in legislative and representative work, participating in the republican public life. The Tatarstan State Council is recognized in the federal center and Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation due to consolidated work of all-level deputations, its position and new forms of work.

“You may ask why people keep applying to various state agencies and deputies. Our republic faces new challenges, the federal and republican legislation is changing, and people need explanation and information. On the other hand, if people apply to deputies they trust us, look for our understanding and support,” Farid Mukhametshin said.

The Parliament Speaker reminded about the main features of these six months: work on the republican budget, adoption of the text of the Tatarstan State Anthem. Another milestone moment: the State Duma supported the legislative initiative by the State Council on amendments to the RF law “On freedom of religion and religious unions”. He also commented upon raising the efficiency of laws that foresee additional regulatory acts by executive authorities.
Farid Mukhametshin informed the journalists that this year Kazan is going to host the meeting of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The idea was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Charwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko. “We will show senators the sports Kazan, dynamics of regional development.” The journalists also asked about the forthcoming parliamentary elections, life “after the Universiade” and ecological situation in the republic.”
The State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for the first six months of 2013 held 6 meetings, considered 306 issues, adopted 49 laws and 370 resolutions.
