Tatarstan and Kemerovo region sign a new Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation between regions

On June 26, in the administration of the city of Novokuznetsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Governor of the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked Tsivilev for organizing the second International Miners' Sabantuy and supporting the activities of Tatar public organizations in Kuzbass, which serve to strengthen interethnic relations in the region. The heads of the two leading industrial regions of Russia discussed the solution of the problems of increasing the volume of interregional trade, to date estimates more than 2.3 billion roubles per year. Tatarstan actively supplies trucks and buses, tires, diesel fuel and gasoline, food, detergents and light industry products, medical tools and equipment, water metering units and many other goods to Kuzbass. The Kemerovo region supplies rolled metals, as well as coal and coke, medical equipment and equipment for public utilities to Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic is already ready to increase the supply of products of petrochemical and machine-building enterprises, consumer goods and household chemicals, cooperate closely in the digitalization of various sectors of the economy and solve the problems of import substitution.

“Tatarstan has good technologies for overhaul of cargo vehicles and transfer of motor vehicles to gas-engine fuel. Our enterprises are ready to strengthen cooperation on development of the oil and oil products storage infrastructure. We propose to consider the possibility of using KAMAZ automobile equipment in the construction of industrial and logistic facilities in Kuzbass. Tatarstan purposefully forms the innovation and production infrastructure of various economic zones, industrial and technoparks, engineering centers. We are always ready to exchange experience in the areas of entrepreneurship support and personnel training for production at industry resource centers. We will be glad to cooperate in education. Today, 114 students from Kuzbass are studying at Tatarstan universities” Minnikhanov briefed on possible areas for the development of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting and in confirmation of the agreements reached, the parties signed a new version of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement the Collegium of the Kemerovo region Administration and the Government of Tatarstan on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, social, cultural and other spheres in 2022-2024. The previous action plan has already been implemented and completed in 2021.
