Rustam Minnikhanov has taken part in the Yakut national holiday Ysyakh

On 25 June during his working trip to the Republic of Saha (Yakutia) Tatarstan Prsident Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Yakut national holiday Ysyakh, which was dedicated to the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Yakut SSR. 

Speaking on the stage to Yakutia residents, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed the importance of preservation of traditions and cultures of people. “We have a multinational country and strong by such regions as the Republic of Saha. I am thrilled with the scale you are celebrating your national holiday. On behalf of all residents of Tatarstan I congratulate you with your 100th birthday and wish prosperity to your region”’ he said. 

In his turn the head of Saha Aysen Nikolayev expressed his gratitude to Minnikhanov for organizing Days of Tatarstan in Yakutia. 

Ysyakh is a folk holiday held at the summer solstice with traditional competitions, the most picturesque of which is Osuokhay- the ancient dance worshipping the Sun.
