Rustam Minnikhanov and Aysen Nikolayev take part in the launch of the hybrid power plant in Verkhoyansk

On June 24, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev via video link took part in the launch of a hybrid power plant in the city of Verkhoyansk.

Verkhoyansk is located 700 km north of Yakutsk and is one of the coldest places on Earth. The lowest temperature -67.7°C was recorded here in February 1892. The population of the city is about 1100 people.

Generation in Verkhoyansk consists of 4 diesel generators with a total capacity of 1600 kW. ENELT Group of Companies  has built an autonomous hybrid power complex consisting of a solar power plant with a capacity of 1024 kW, a system of energy storage capacity of 1300 kW*h and has also developed an automated control system for the entire plant, including a diesel one.

The ENELT Group of Companies includes two production sites - in Kazan and Zelenodolsk. The average number of employees of the ENELT is about 300 people, 200 of them working in Tatarstan.
