On 22 June a meeting of the Board of the Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic, considered a number of innovative projects.
In particular, Deputy Director of the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences Aleksandr Terentyev represented a technology of organic peroxides synthesis which provides a means of efficient struggle against malaria, parasitic diseases and malignant tumours. The peroxides can be also used for production of new fungicides which have already been tested on potatoes, peas and cereal crops.
Terentyev added that they have plenty of orders in Moscow for production of fungicides and said: “You region is super-innovational but we need an intermediary for cooperation”.
Rustam Minnikhanov proposed the Institute to establish cooperation with the branch university and scientific-research laboratories of the republic.
Deputy Director of the Eastern Scientific research coal-chemical institute Sergey Kosogorov reported about processing of polymer composites of the wind turbine blades into fibers by thermal solvolysis producing the coal tar pitch and hydrocarbon fibers which can be used by enterprises in different branches of industry.
Giving his comments, Director General of the Tatneftekhiminvest Holding Rafinat Yarullin said: ”The topic is very interesting as for example in Western countries wind farms are used for 12-14 years and then have to be recycled”. Rustam Minnikhanov noted:” We have machine-building, composite materials and plastics production here in Tatarstan and I think we will have a lot of composite waste at these enterprises”.
Director in strategy and development of the ETS State Corporation from St Petersburg Sergey Andreyev told about prospects of import replacement of low-tonnage chemistry, reminding that the West has limited payments in international currency, has broken logistics and is trying to cause default in Russia by introducing sanctions against resins, special polymers and other similar materials. Nevertheless the departure of European suppliers from the Russian market frees niches worth billions for Russia producers of special and semi-special chemistry. He said that his company can help domestic companies to overcome sanctions limitations.
“We have a real chance to establish an engineering school with participation of SIBUR. We should cooperate with China and India but we should produce in Russia all we can even though it is not a very quick process Of course we will cooperate with you”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Director General of the Izvarino Farma Company from Moscow Orest Ibragimov told participant of the meeting about the plan to establish production of pharmaceutical substances for treating rare kind of cancer and neuro-degenerative diseases in Kazan by 2025, and Stanislav Iodkovskiy – Director General of the IVA Technologies company proposed to implement modern Russian videoconference system at fuel and energy complex enterprises, replacing such foreign services as Zoom and Skype. The IVA MCU cloud services, video communication platforms and corporate messengers will help to prevent data leakage abroad he said.
Tatarstan Minister of Trade and Industry Oleg Korobchenko informed the participant of the meeting about regional Gas and Chemistry Forum to be held in Kazan in the beginning of September. He said that more than 200 enterprises have been invited to take part in it.
“We should prepare very well. The forum should become the best in the country and let’s invite partners from the Central Asia, Turkey, China and maybe from the OIC”,. Minnikhanov proposed.
In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov was reelected the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the holding.
