On June 21, at the Kazan Kremlin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov held a meeting with representatives of Tatarstan abroad and in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Safarov introduced the new Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko and the newly appointed representative in Azerbaijan Murad Gadylshin.
Safarov outlined a number of events that took place in May during the celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. Including KazanSummit with the participation of about 6.5 thousand people from 64 countries of the world and 59 regions of Russia, a meeting of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, as well as festive events under the Izge Bolgar Yyeny. Events in Moscow and other venues outside of Tatarstan were timed to coincide with the anniversary.
Among the upcoming events, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office emphasized the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg, the Days of Tatarstan in Yakutia, the Mining Sabantuy in the Kemerovo region, the 8th Congress of the World Congress of Tatars, the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow, the participation of Tatarstan President in the work of the Eastern Economic Forum and a number of other important events.
The business cooperation agenda continues to evolve. “Among foreign countries, in the first half of the year we had the most intensive contacts with Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, the countries of the Middle East. This year at the Petersburg International Forum active work was carried out with the constituent entities of the Federation», Safarov said.
He emphasized that in international and interregional relations, Tatarstan has come out of the anti-COVID restrictions. However, today we have to work under conditions of severe anti-Russian restrictions. Therefore, the Tatarstan representative corps faces difficult tasks.
The meeting discussed the tasks of the Tatarstan representative offices in the most important and promising areas of work in external relations, as well as proposals to address problematic issues. To date, 16 representations of Tatarstan in the countries of the near and far abroad and 8 representations in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have been opened.
