Rustam Minnikhanov meets Governor of Ulyanovsk region Aleksey Russkikh

On 18 June during his working trip to Ulyanovsk to take part in the federal Sabantuy, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Governor of Ulyanovsk region Aleksey Russkikh, where they discussed issues of interregional cooperation. 
Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude for organization of the federal Sabantuy and support to Tatar public organizations as there are about 150 thousand Tatars living in the region.  He underlined that Tatarstan and Ulyanovsk region have vast trade and economic relations, such as cooperation in the sphere of tourism of developing routes under the brand of the “The Great Volga Way”, and there are good prospects of increasing mutual trade turnover.
In the end of the meeting, the parties signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and social-cultural cooperation and the plan of its implementation till 2024. The previous agreement was valid from 2007 and the parties said they were sure that the prolonged agreement will facilitate development of business contacts.
