A meeting of the President of the Republic and the Governor of the Astrakhan Region held

On June 17, on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin.

“Our trade turnover is at the level of 500 million roubles. We are interested in developing cooperation in the sphere of engineering, automotive and shipbuilding and ready to supply automobile tires, refrigeration equipment, consumer goods to the region,” Minnikhanov said.

Digitalization is an important area of cooperation. Tatarstan President proposed to use the opportunities of the federal trading platform «ZakazRF» and the implemented project «Regional marketing centre - Import Substitution Centre». He also invited his colleague to take part in the Kazan Digital Week International Digital Forum to be held in Kazan on September 21-24, 2022.

At the end of the meeting, an Action Plan for 2022-2024 to the previously concluded Cooperation Agreement between Tatarstan and the Astrakhan Region was signed.
