An agreement on cooperation in implementation of the interregional tourist projects “The Great Volga Road” has been signed on the sidelined of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum

On 16 June on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Federal Tourism Agency, Tatarstan, Mariy El, the Government of Ulyanovsk region and Samara regions as well as the Cabinet of Minister of Chuvashia signed an agreement on cooperation in implementation of the interregional tourist project “The Great Volga Way”. 
During the ceremony, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Chernyshenko underlined that one of the points of the agreement was revival of the interregional river shipping system. The main idea of the project, which involves 7 Volga regions, is to establish a complex recreationally developed macro-territory and to provide it with modern river local and interregional transportation.
