On 16 June on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Construction and Housing and Utility Sector Irek Fayzullin and Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation Aleksey Likhachev signed an agreement on holding the II International professional skills competition in industrial construction in Kazan from 5 to 8 October in 2022.
The main aim of the competition is to improve an international position of Russia in the sphere of industrial construction by providing global competitiveness of the country, the increase of the construction services export and productivity, and speaking at the signing ceremony Irek Fayzullin said that the event is in demand not only with large Russian enterprises but is also interesting for international partners. “Representatives of 23 countries, such as Turkey, Egypt, Bangladesh, Hungary and BRICS have been invited to take part in the competitions. It was not by chance that Kazan was chosen for holding our event as it is a very beautiful city which is the economic, logistics and technological center of Russia”, he said.
In his turn Tatarstan President stated the importance of the event for the region as “Tatarstan continuously is among regions-leaders in industrial construction. The republic has more than 400 plants producing construction products. In the last ten years 160 enterprises, including those of the world level, were launched and underwent modernization.” He continued: “The international competition will give the possibility to get acquainted with new technologies and skills and what is more important to find the best in this sphere.
The prize fund of the competition will make more than 44m roubles and Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation Aleksey Likhachev added: “For us holding such a large scale event is not only broadening the international cooperation but also a possibility to make positive impact on the construction sphere and the development of economy”.
