Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Head of the Lower Volga Watershed- Water Department Nikolay Ponomarev

On 9 June at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Lower Volga Watershed- Water Department Nikolay Ponomarev, discussed issues of long-term interaction in implementation of the federal projects of the Recovery of the Volga and Preservation of Unique Water Bodies, next year financing of a number of facilities and the possibility of organizing a meeting of the Watershed Council of the Lower Volga watershed region in Kazan. Minister of Ecology of the republic Aleksandr Shadrikov and the Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafiguin also took part in the discussion.

Within the federal project of the Preservation of Unique Water Bodies, this year Tatarstan is carrying out building of coast-protection structures in Kamskoye Ustye and cleaning of 4 water bodies as well as capital overhaul of 14 hydraulic facilities.
