Rustam Minnikhanov has congratulated social workers with their professional holiday

On 8 June Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting dedicated to the Day of Social Worker held in the Kazan residential care facility for people with psychosocial disabilities.

Before the meeting Director of the facility Murat Valitov told Rustam Minnikhanov about the living and care conditions for the patients and showed him living rooms, the library and the rehabilitation room.

The facility has its own athletes and Minnikhanov gave them new footballs.

Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan President congratulated all workers of the sphere with their professional holiday and said: ”It is not easy to be a social worker. Your job requires commitment, resilience, moral and physical efforts, patience and empathy. Today only the most caring people make this humane profession their life's work “.

“You experienced additional burden when we encountered the Corona virus and in this difficult situation you remained committed to your work and continued fulfilling your professional duty even quite often at the expense of your personal time” Rustam Minnikhanov said and added: “In its turn Tatarstan also helps social facilities and starting from 2015 has already allocated more than 1bn roubles on capital overhaul of 86 residential social agencies”.

In conclusion Tatarstan President expressed his gratitude to the workers of the sphere for their work and handed in state awards of the republic to the most distinguished of them.

He also handed in a certificate for purchasing a specialized Gazel Next minivan with a lifting set for wheelchair residents of the facility.
