Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev have laid flowers to the monument of Pushkin

On 6 June, on the Day of Russian Language and 223d birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Russian classical poet by the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan. Also participating in the ceremony was the Chairman of the Regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin. 

On the top of that,  topical events, including competitions, quizzes, lectures, online exhibitions, stage shows and literary salons are held all over in cities and regions of the republic today.
