Rustam Minnikhanov meets Nikolai Patrushev and Igor Komarov

On May 31, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.

During his working visit to Kazan, Patrushev will hold a retreat on demography and improving the quality of life in rural areas. Minnikhanov thanked the Secretary of the Security Council for the decision to hold such an important meeting in the capital of Tatarstan. “The topic is of strategic importance. The country's leadership is taking a whole range of measures to improve the quality of life of the population,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

The meeting discussed issues of transport and energy security under Western restrictions against Russia, as well as the implementation of measures taken by the country’s leadership for the further socio-economic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District.
