Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Russian folk festival "Karavon-2022"

On May 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 30th Russian folk festival "Karavon-2022" held in Nikolskoe village of Laishevo region of the republic.

Specialized creative and thematic platforms were organized for the participants.

Minnikhanov looked around various venues and workshops with master classes, talked to folk craftsmen who brought products of arts and crafts to the fair.

Specialists also presented a project under which they restore and sew Russian national costumes. Minnikhanov got acquainted with the exhibits and suggested considering the possibility of organizing specialized exhibitions in the buildings of government agencies of the Kazan Kremlin.

Chairman of the Board of the Russian National Cultural Association of the Republic of Tatarstan Irina Alexandrovskaya emphasized that the most important thing is that today young people are interested in Russian folk culture.

Tatarstan President welcomed the participants and guests of the holiday and emphasized that for 30 years "Karavon" has become a recognizable brand of Tatarstan and it starts the season of national holidays in the republic - further go Mari, Chuvash holidays,and other nations.

Then, the state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan were handed in to representatives of culture and certificates - to Russian ethno-cultural groups (medals «For Valiant Labor», honorary title «Honored worker of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan», Letter of Gratitude of Tatarstan President, 8 certificates on behalf of the President of Tatarstan to strengthen the material and technical base of creative teams).
