On 25, after having flown above the construction sites of the M-12 express road and the M-7 highway the Volga, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a working meeting in the Village of Kirbi on issues of the M-12 facilities construction, where a representative of the Board of the Russian Highways Company (Avtodor) Mars Gazizullin told him that the work on the construction of such an important facility was going on as planned.
The length of the eighth section of the M-12 road passing across Tatarstan is 71 km with construction cost of 168bn 258m rouble, Gazizullin said and told about 41 artificial structures to be built including a unique bridge across the Volga, pipe culverts and concrete under-road tunnels for animals.

The M-12 express road will connect about 20 regional centers and pass across Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhniy Novgorod regions and Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
Its will become a part of the international transport corridor “Europe-West China”, the construction of which is stated in the national project of the Integrated Plan of modernization and broadening highways structure up to 2024.
