On 23 May Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a presentation of a book entitled “Farid Mukhametshin. Curves of life” organized in the National Library in Kazan.
The book was published to the 75th birthday of the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and such prominent guests as the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the member of the Russian State Duma Oleg Morozov, the Chief Federal Inspector for Tatarstan Viktor Demidov, Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin and Director General of the Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov as well as the Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev took part in the presentation ceremony.
During the presentation Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Farid Mukhametshin the state award of Tatarstan the Duslyk Order.
Speaking at the event, he said: “I have known Farid Khayrullovich for much longer than just 25 years. Up to 1998 we worked together in the government of the republic and got to know each other quite well and for this, tremendous credit goes to the first President Mintimer Shaimiev who “synchronized” us and this system keeps working. There is no any misreading- the office of the President, the government. Today we have a reliable parliament and this is very serious work. It is impossible to have the executive power without strong parliament!”
Sharing his memories, the State Counselor of the republic, the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev said: “Farid Khayrullovich is a very modest person. Few know what a life he has had. He is a very honest and descent man. He did a good work and passed the test not of power but responsibility”.
The member of the Russian State Duma Oleg Morozov read out the congratulatory address from the Chairman of the Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev handed in Farid Mukhametshin the state award of Bashkortostan – the Order of Salavat Yulayev.
