Rustam Minnikhanov has walked round the historical center of the town of Chistopol

On 16 May during his working trip to Chistopol region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Head of the Committee of the Cultural Heritage Protection of the republic Ivan Guschin, the head of Chistopol region Dmitriy Ivanov, the Aid to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova and Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleyeva walked round the historical center of the town of Chistopol and got acquainted with those cultural heritage sites that are planned to be reconstructed. 
As many as 16 of these sites were included into the programme of reconstruction of small historical cities being implemented by the BRICS New Development Bank and Minnikhanov was told about problematic issues which need to be solved.
Thus in 2021 the results of work in land readjustment of the cultural heritage site “Sightseeing of the Chistopol Historical Center” were positively approved by the state historical and cultural expertise.
Minnikhanov also approved the examination of the historical part of the town to define the exact boundaries of the 10th century cultural layer, which will help to solve city-building issues more efficiently.
