14.05.2022

On May 14, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all regional municipalities, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov said that half of the planned area has been sown with agricultural crops in Tatarstan.

Zyabbarov emphasized that out of the forthcoming volumes of spring sowing (1.8 million hectares), 895,000 hectares or 49 percent of the plan have been sown, including 57 per cent (605,000 hectares) of grain, 70 percent (35,000 hectares) of sugar beet and 16 percent (32.200 hectares) of corn. Buinsk, Tetyushy, Spassk, Aksubaevo, Zainsk, Muslyumovo, Mamadysh and a number of other regions show good sowing rates.

Technical possibilities allow to carry out sowing campaign within agricultural deadlines. The potential of the sowing units provides an opportunity to sow up to 150,000 hectares of land per day.

Planned fertilization volumes for winter crops are almost completed.

The preparation of harvesting equipment is underway. More than 2 billion roubles are needed to carry out repair and restoration work. The minister urged dealers to promptly place orders, and in the absence of original spare parts, look for alternative suppliers.

Minnikhanov thanked the workers of the Saby region, noting their worthy contribution to ensuring food security and developing the agro-industrial complex of the republic.
