On 12 May, speaking at a meeting on development of regional industry held at the Kazan Gunpowder Plant, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the main objective for today is to ensure stable workflow and development of enterprises.
Before the meeting Minnikhanov got acquainted with work of the plant training center which is equipped with modern devices and virtual simulators, making it possible to simulate different industrial and emergency situations.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that today enterprises are working under unprecedented sanction and economic pressure and both the federal center and the republic have taken a number of measures to support the real sector of economy. “We need a systemic work to provide support measures to enterprises. So far this system has not been fully established but every enterprise should get timely help”, he said.
“The preservation of work teams and especially highly qualified specialists is the main task for stable work of enterprises”, Tatarstan President said and asked the administration of enterprises to use support of employment agencies and the regional Ministry of Labour – to monitor the situation and take speedy measures.
Rustam Minnikhanov paid special attention to issues of import replacement and cooperation which were related not only to replacement of imported parts but also to loading plants to produce new products in demand.
“It is necessary to help enterprises in building new cooperation links and there are already good examples of import replacement in the republic, such as the Nizhnekamskheftekhim Petrochemical Complex, which started production of catalysts for manufacture of isoprene and a printer toner production plant has been launched in Mendeleyevsk”, he informed.
Minnikhanov underlined that to implement new projects it is extremely important to restore our own design bureaus and work with scientific schools and a lot is happening in this respect such as federal competitions in developing of advanced engineering schools, university startups and campuses. “Enterprises of our republic should take active part in this work so that your interests are taken into consideration in this large scale projects. We should also ensure participation of our enterprises in federal measures supporting import replacement technologies and manufacture,” he said.
Minnikhanov also asked enterprises to develop relations with other Russian regions and EEC countries (such as Belorusm Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others) and to set up inter-regional cooperation for building new cooperation chains.
Tatarstan President gave an errand to step up information security requirements at enterprises and strictly follow industrial and anti-terrorist measures.
Speaking about enterprises which were awarded the title of the Enterprise of Labour Valor in 1941-1945, Minnikhanov said: ”I am sure that traditions of labour heroism and commitment are still live and will be passed to the young generation”.
