Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with work of the Olympic Reserve School in ski jumping and Nordic combination in Leninogorsk

On 10 May during his working trip to Leninogorsk region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Olympic Reserve children's and youth sports school in ski jumping and Nordic combination, which has been working in the city since 1975 and trained more than 7 000 athletes, including 42 Masters of Sports, more than 100 Candidate Masters of Sports and more than 1000 sportsmen with an official rating who have not once won All-Russia and international competitions.

Minnikhanov was told that the school graduate Nikolay Petrushin took part in the Olympics in Nagano in1998, Ivan Panin – in Sochi Olympics in 2014 and Danil Sadreyev won a silver medal in the ski jumping team tournament in 2022.

Minnikhanov was informed about work done at the facility, including replacement of artificial summer turf, replacement of corrugated deck and the inrun trestle trail all of which was financed by the Tatneft Oil Company.
