On 9 May, speaking at a ceremonial reception in the Kazan Kremlin dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the victory in WWII and with participation of the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev , Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that there is hardly any family in Russia which was not affected by WWII.
He welcomed war veterans and congratulated then with the Victory Day. He said that the Victory in the WWII is a lifelong holiday, a symbol of steadiness and firmness of the national spirit and a bright example of the triumph of the truth and justice over evil and wicked forces.
Tatarstan President said that the Russian army is decently continuing glorious military traditions by preventing the threat of spreading of Neo-Nazism.
“I wish veterans good health and wellbeing. I also wish you peace, happiness and optimism in life! Happy holiday” – he concluded.
