Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Kazan Victory Park

On May 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers at the Eternal Flame of the Colonnade of the Glory Memorial in the Kazan Victory Park.

Tatarstan State Counsellor, Hero of Labour of Russia Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the veterans of the World War II took part in the ceremony.

The anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan were played.  

The officials of the republic also laid flowers at the Monument to the Mothers and Widows of the Fallen Soldiers and the Soviet Soldier Monument.
