Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in Eid al-Fitr prayer in Kazan

On May 2, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a festive prayer on Eid al-Fitr held by Chairman of Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Tatarstan Kamil khazrat Samigullin.

In his sermon, mufti of Tatarstan said that 2022 is a special year for the Muslim ummah. Events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria will be celebrated at the state level. According to Kamil Samigullin, the celebration of the anniversary is intended to help uniting the Muslims of Russia.

The festive prayer was held in the new mosque named after Akhmadzaki in the Kazan village of Zalesny. The mosque was named after the famous religious figure Ahmadzaki Hazrat Safiullin, who for 20 years worked as an imam of the Mardzhani mosque. The prayer halls of the Mosque can hold 500 believers. There is also a room for religious and educational activities.
