On 27 April in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to 48 outstanding residents of the republic.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minnikhanov reminded that is has become a good tradition to hand in awards on the eve of national holidays.
“Today Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of the country in many social and economic parameters. The republic is implementing large scale projects in industry, power economy, construction of housing and roads and has dynamically developing agribusiness complex. Positive changes are happening in education, culture, youth and social politics “, he said.
”Quite soon we will be celebrating the Day of Victory in WW II and to preserve military, historical and labour heritage of industrial enterprises, which made substantial contribution into this Great Victory and also to commemorate heroism of workers of this enterprises I have established a regional rank of “The Enterprise of Labour Valour in 1041-1945” Minnikhanov informed.

It is not by chance that we have a large group of them who are getting their awards on the eve of the Holiday of Spring and Labour. Your fruitful work is especially valuable in these difficult times under conditions of tense international political situation. I would like to stress that loyalty to our traditions and values and ability to work efficiently in one team have always helped us to overcome any difficulties. Only together are we strong. I would like to express my cordial gratitude for your contribution into development of our native republic and Russia and congratulate you with your well-deserved awards”, he concluded.
