Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Company Aleksey Miller

On April 26, during his working visit to Saint Petersburg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Company Aleksey Miller discussed the implementation of Gazprom's socially significant projects in the region.

Today, consistent work on expanding gas transmission capacities is underway in the republic. In 2022, the Gazprom has put into operation a new gas distribution station (GDS) Sokury and a gas pipeline branch to it from the reconstructed section of the Minnibayevo-Kazan main gas pipeline (220-285 km). As a result, the reliability of gas supply to Kazan and its suburbs has been increased and conditions for connecting new consumers to gas have been created.

Gazprom is currently preparing for the reconstruction of the Yubileinaya GDS in the Laishevo region. The expansion of its capacity in the future will open up potential for increasing the volume of gas supplied to the population, utilities, and small and medium-sized businesses.

Citizens submit applications for additional gasification of households in already gasified settlements. Currently, about 14,000 applications have been received, some of which have already been fulfilled - network gas has been brought up to the borders of land plots.

At the same time, the Gazprom and Tatarstan are working on updating the General Scheme for Gas Supply and Gasification of the region. The document will determine the needs of the republic in additional volumes of gas.

The parties are efficiently interacting in the development of the gas engine market. In 2015-2022, the Gazprom has built 17 stations in the republic to refuel vehicles with natural gas, an economical and ecological motor fuel. The gas supply network of the company has grown to 25 facilities in Tatarstan. In the coming years the company plans to construct two more stations: in Naberezhnye Chelny and near the village of Bekhterevskoye, Yelabuga region of the republic along the M-7 Volga federal highway.

Miller and Minnikhanov also discussed the prospects for the implementation of new projects in Tatarstan.
