On April 26, in an interactive multimedia complex of the history of the Tatar theatre “Sharyk Club” (Oriental Club) in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of Tatar creative youth.
Minnikhanov emphasized that today much is being done to preserve the Tatar language, culture and traditions. High hopes are laid on young people in this large-scale work. Innovative proposals of young people contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions.
“You pay a lot of attention to these issues, I thank you for that. In the context of globalization, this work has become even more difficult. We need new and interesting projects in the literature, in the stage, and in the theatre. We will support these initiatives in every way, Tatarstan President said.
Further, the participants of the meeting introduced their ideas on the development of the Tatar national culture. Thus, the founder of Bars-Records Company Dina Garayeva proposed to organize a production centre in Kazan to support young performers and musicians.
The founder and head of the Yulbasma book publishing house Gouzel Khasanova asked for support in subsidizing the costs of illustrators and book designers.
The meeting participants also discussed the support of young composers, translators, directors and the popularization of Tatar folk musical instruments. Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Minister of Youth Affairs of the republic Timur Suleymanov, regional Minister of Education and Science Ilsur Khadiullin, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the republic, Chairman of the Commission for the Preservation and Development of the Tatar Language Marat Akhmetov took part in the meeting.
