Rustam Minnikhanov has visited a multimedia complex of the history of the Tatar theatre “Sharyk Club”

On 26 April Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited an interactive multimedia complex of the history of the Tatar theatre “Sharyk Club” (Oriental Club) located in a historical building of a legendary community of Tatar intelligentsia in the beginning of the 20th century which housed the stage of the first professional Tatar theatre company Sayar in 1911. 

Showing the President round the building, Director of the Tatar State Academic Theatre after Kamal Ilfir Yakupov told that the idea of establishment of the museum of the history of a Tatar theater appeared more than 30 years ago and later it transformed into a format of a multimedia complex comprising all modern innovations in projection and organization of exposition spaces.

Rustam Minnikhanov looked round installations showing fragments of different performances and attended rooms dedicated to people and historical events who plaid a significant role in development of the national theatre. 

In the end of the visit, he said that the exposition was very interesting and proposed to include the Sharyk Club into tourist routes and excursion programmes.
