Rustam Minnikhanov meets rectors of VGIK and GITIS

On April 25, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, rector of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after Gerasimov (VGIK) Vladimir Malyshev and rector of Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) Grigory Zaslavsky discussed the issues of cooperation in culture and training of specialists.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leila Fazleeva, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova and other officials took part in the meeting.

The guests arrived in Kazan to participate in the festival of graduation performances "Start to the Future" (taking place from April 25 to April 30, 2022), organized by the non-profit organization "Association of educational institutions of art and culture" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, Russian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan.

In 2020 and 2021, the festival was held in the Crimea, this year for the first time it takes place in Tatarstan. Among the participants are the Kazan State Institute of Culture, VGIK, GITIS, Theatre Institute named after Boris Shchukin at the Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre.
