Rustam Minnikhanov on the Day of Local Government: Working in local authorities requires sensitivity to people’s problems

On April 23, at the Korston Entertainment Complex in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn event, dedicated to the Day of Local Government in the Russian Federation.

A specialized exhibition was organized in the hall.

Congratulating the participants of the event on the professional holiday, the Day of Local Government, Tatarstan President said: “Local authorities, being responsible for solving the issues of daily life of citizens, have always played an important role in the governance system. Without exaggeration, many government tasks, from small to very important, are finally implemented by your work”.

Due to the unity and well-coordinated work of municipalities and state authorities in Tatarstan in recent years, we have managed to successfully solve urgent tasks of the territories, significantly improve the quality of life of citizens, Minnikhanov said.

He emphasized that in the current difficult conditions, the most important task of the authorities at all levels is to ensure stable living conditions in the territories and a decent standard of living for our citizens.

“Working in local government is not easy. It requires a sensitive attitude to the problems of people, love for the Fatherland and for their small homeland. I would like to thank you and all representatives of the municipal community for the daily hard work for the benefit of citizens, high responsibility and conscientious attitude for the task assigned,” Tatarstan President said.

Ceremony of handing in state awards of Tatarstan to the most distinguished representatives of local governments took place.
