On April 23, speaking at the videoconference in the Government House of the republic with participation of all municipal regions of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that backbone enterprises play an important role in ensuring the economic resilience under the restrictions imposed on the country.
“Now, 58 enterprises and organizations of the republic are included in the federal list. To ensure the uninterrupted operation of backbone enterprises, the line ministries need to work out an action plan, assess possible risks and maximize the use of federal, regional anti-crisis support measures,” Minnikhanov said.
“The most important task of all authorities and employers is the preservation of jobs,” Tatarstan President emphasized.
The republic will continue to provide humanitarian support for the residents of Donbass. He said that 353 tonnes of humanitarian aid were sent. Tatarstan together with Bashkortostan occupies a leading position among the regions included in the Volga Federal District, in the formation of humanitarian aid.
Tatarstan President spoke about the problem of a new coronavirus infection. According to him, over the past week, the incidence rate has decreased by 4.2 per cent. There are mild cases.
Speaking about the nearest events, Minnikhanov said that on April 24 Orthodox believers celebrate the most significant Christian holiday - Easter. On April 26, the republic will celebrate the Mother Language Day and the 136th anniversary of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay.
Minnikhanov also urged to celebrate the anniversary of the Victory in the World War II at a high level and to pay close attention to war veterans. Various events are timed to May 9, including the Immortal Regiment procession.
“We should demonstrate the unity of Russian citizens in support of our President, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, in support of our soldiers and officers who are doing their military duty today,” Minnikhanov said.
