Rustam Minnikhanov at the opening of the power economy forum: Challenges intensify the necessity of using energy saving

On 19 April, speaking at the Tatarstan International Power Economy Forum held in Tatarstan, the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov said that today’s challenges intensify the necessity of using energy saving .
Welcoming the forum participants, Minnikhanov said that it was an open platform for a dialogue of experts and industrialists whose solutions influence the further strategy of development of this sphere. He said that 63 domestic companies from 43 Russian regions are taking part in the event and reminded that the Russian State Council on Power Economy will have its meeting on the sidelines of the forum today. Minnikhanov also informed that the exhibition of Power Economy and Resource Saving and a session of the regional Cabinet of Ministers  have been organized here.

|”Energy efficiency and environmental protection are our tasks, solution of which will facilitate competitiveness of our economy and development of comfortable environment for our residents,” – Minnikhanov said. “I am sure that joint work of the forum participants will be aimed at strengthening scientific and technological potential and development of integrated ties at all levels. We are ready to share our experience and are open for a dialogue,” he concluded.
Speaking at the forum, the Aid to the Russian President Igor Levitin said that the forum is an important event and gives a possibility to use new technologies in power saving including those in the construction of new housing. 
After the forum opening ceremony, Minnikhanov and Levitin walked around the specialized exhibition dedicated to energy saving technologies, where representatives of the Tatenergo Power Company, The Grid Company, Tatneft Oil Company and other expositions told about their KPI dynamics in 2020-2021 and their new projects. They told that the companies keep decreasing heat grid losses and pursue a policy of using domestic equipment and technologies which is utmost important today. 
Tatarstan President also got acquainted with the stand of Kazan State Power engineering University and other enterprises and companies working in power industry and efficient energy saving.
