On 16 April Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Deputy Head of the Government Marat Khusnullin, the Plenipotentiary representative of the republic in Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin and Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Youth Issues Damir Fattakhov took part in the VII youth forum “Moscow-Tatarstan Bridge” held in Moscow.
The forum is a platform where speakers, who have reached success in different spheres and who are from Tatarstan and Tatars from other regions of Russia working or studying in Moscow, are sharing their experience with youngsters and giving them advice in choice of professions and reaching of their targets.
Speaking at the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov said that this event facilitates strengthening contacts between Moscow and Tatarstan and today there are people from the republic who work in the federal government and are successful in their spheres of work. “This testifies about rich potential of our republic and I hope your contacts with Tatarstan will be strong and mutually beneficial”, he said.
Minnikhanov said most emphatically that success of each person depends on a team he will work with and added that working with the first president of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev he got priceless experience.
He also told participant of the forum about the Strategic Vision Group Russia-Islamic World, which he is the head of since 2014. “We have more than 30 people in our group who represent Russian Orthodoxy and countries of Islamic cooperation. We hold our meetings in Moscow, Groznyy, Makhachkala, Kazan and Ufa. Last November this event was held in Saudi Arabia at a very high level” he said.
Tatarstan President informed that the OIC countries are open for cooperation with Russia and the joint work with them has a huge potential. “We can see who our partners are and with whom we will be working in the future. This year Kazan has become the youth capital of the OIC which testifies about attitude of these countries to Russia and our President”, he concluded.
He added that in May of the current year the republic is organizing events dedicated to 1100th anniversary of adopting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria and representatives of the OIC will take part in them.
In his turn, Marat Khusnullin said that currently Russia was in a very serious situation caused by sanctions and economic pressure exerted by Western countries but this situation creates new possibilities for young people.
Speaking to participants of the forum by a videoconference, the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev said that the Moscow-Tatarstan Bridge plays an important role in strengthening a dialogue between generations. ”I am happy that you are successful all over the world glorifying our Tatar nationality and multi-ethnic Tatarstan”, he concluded.
Addressing participant of the forum, the Olympic champion in figure skating Kamila Valiyeva said: “I hope we will meet again at this wonderful forum as I was born in Kazan and I am proud of being a Tatar. I would like to express my gratitude to each of you for your support, warm attitude and nice words. I can feel it and highly appreciate. I want to wish you successful work and happiness and may all your wishes become true. Good luck!”
