On April 14, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President, Chairman of the Anti-Terrorist Commission Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular expanded meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Commission in the republic devoted to issues of psychological security of the educational environment.

Representatives of relevant federal ministries, as well as First Deputy of the Office of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee Vice Admiral Igor Kulyagin took part in the meeting. According to Minnikhanov, over the past 3 years, a number of high-profile events have taken place in the republic with the participation of students. All this indicates negative processes in the youth environment, originated from destructive virtual communities that have a negative impact on adolescents at the psychological level.

Scientific potential is involved to reduce tension in the youth and educational environment, and various projects, including innovative ones, are being implemented. Joint efforts at the federal and regional levels helped to largely study these phenomena and to develop mechanisms for increasing the efficiency of preventive work and reducing the identified threats in the future.

Minnikhanov emphasized that special attention should be paid to interdepartmental cooperation in youth policy - at the level of universities and colleges, as well as to continue developing psychological services in the system of higher education. According to Tatarstan President, today there are problems in the organization of educational work, a lack of specific knowledge in the field of psychology, as well as a shortage of qualified psychologists working with students.

The concept of creating a digital platform to provide psychological assistance to minors and their parents was discussed. The members of the Anti-Terrorist Commission in Tatarstan discussed the implementation of the strategic academic leadership programme «Priority-2030» and proposals for a comprehensive study of the security of the educational environment of the republic.
