Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Grigoriy Ordzhonikidze and hands his in a state award

At their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Grigoriy Ordzhonikidze, who is on a working trip to Kazan, discussed implementation of a number of joint projects, including international ones, and other important issues.

During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Grigoriy Ordzhonikidze a Medal of Order of Merit for Tatarstan for his longstanding fruitful cooperation and a special contribution into the establishment of cultural and historical heritage sites of Tatarstan.

During his trip Ordzhonikidze will take part in a meeting on preparation of the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee and a meeting of the Coordination Council of the UNESCO chairs in Russia.

The State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Head of the Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov and the Head of the regional Prime Minister’s Office Shamil Gafarov also took part in the meeting.
