Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin hands in state awards to the distinguished Tatarstan citizens: “Our achievements are created due to you”

On April 1, at the Kazan Kremlin, speaking at a solemn ceremony of handing in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to the distinguished citizens of the republic, Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin said that the recipients of awards, namely athletes, employees of enterprises, oil workers, representatives of culture and science, provide the basis for the successful development of Tatarstan.

He said that the country and the republic have now entered a difficult historical era. However, due to their tireless work, high professionalism and dedication, those gathered have created a solid foundation for the socio-economic development of the region. This makes it possible to look to the future with confidence, despite any external obstacles.

“You are a true asset to our republic. On behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, on behalf of all our residents, I thank you for your activity and high contribution to strengthening the socio-economic potential of the republic,” Mukhametshin addressed the audience.

According to him, on this day, “a series of real brilliant citizens” of Tatarstan gathered in the hall. Among the awarded were representatives of various professions and vocations: employees of enterprises and institutions, scientists and workers of culture medicine, education and sports. “You are our pride. Due to your responsible civic position, honest conscientious work, indifferent attitude to the fate of the Fatherland, you are an example for the younger generation and all residents of our native republic,” Mukhametshin emphasized.

He added that largely due to the work of such outstanding Tatarstan citizens, the republic today is a leader in a number of positions. This includes construction, industrial production, investment and other areas. Last year Gross Regional Product of the region reached 3.3 trillion roubles, and the industrial production index amounted to 108.5 per cent.

At the end of his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the State Council of the republic handed in state awards: medals of the Order «For Merit to the Fatherland», honorary sectoral titles of the Russian Federation, Letter of Gratitude of Russian President, medals of the Order «For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan », medals «For valiant work» and others. As many as 51 Tatarstan citizens received federal and regional awards during the ceremony.
